Historical Concepts, led by Andrew Cogar,  Domenick Treschitta, and Ryan Yurcaba have been instrumental in shaping the vision of Birney Park. Their collaborative approach and attention to detail have been pivotal in creating a community that aligns with our shared core values. Cline Design, with key team members Cari Jones, Logan Luzader, and Kelly Synott, serve as the architects of record for Birney Park. Their commitment to thoughtful, purposeful design is evident in every aspect of the project. By integrating innovative architectural solutions with a deep understanding of community needs, they have ensured that Birney Park is both visually stunning and functionally sound. Don Hooten, the visionary behind Hooten Land Design, enriches the Birney Park team with his expertise in placemaking. Don’s collaborative approach, working with architects, designers, and builders, ensures cohesive designs. Leading with his sons, David and Cal, his work has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens and Southern Living. Don’s alignment with our mission at Birney Park ensures our community spaces are inviting and sustainable.

Kara Cox, a natural connector and seasoned interior designer, enriches the Birney Park team with her expertise and personable approach. Her ability to create beautiful, functional spaces aligns perfectly with our mission of crafting timeless, resident-focused neighborhoods. Her international travels for unique finds bring a global perspective to her work. Nationally recognized and active in the design industry, Kara balances luxury with practical solutions, ensuring each Birney Park space is sophisticated and livable.

Kristin Kong, Designer and Composer, is designing the signature amenity spaces for The Brightbury. Known for her agility in bringing any design style to life, Kristin excels at realizing her clients’ visions with a perfect blend of the classic and the unique. Inspired by the intimate neighborhoods of London, Kristin’s work at Birney Park reflects the layered, eclectic, and rich personality characteristic of its deep design roots. Her approach ensures that every space tells a story, offering depth and character while remaining functional and engaging.

John C. Sanders and his team will be building the City Homes at Birney Park. The City Homes, inspired by the elegant townhomes of Alexandria and Boston, infused with the southern sensibilities, will feature large, elevated living spaces. Formal living areas are complemented by an open and easy flow, these eight homes embody both elegance and practicality. John’s traditional design sensibilities ensures that each home will be crafted with a perfect balance of distinction and simplicity, making them a standout feature of Birney Park.
